China Social Innovation Study Tour 7 – 12 April 2019 Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing   China’s socio-economic landscape has changed dramatically ever since the introduction of market reforms in 1978, leading the country to become the world’s second largest economy. Along with the economic development, China’s social sector is also expanding and evolving rapidly. China has 6,322 registered foundations and more than 800,000 social purpose organizations as of the end of 2017. Social investment concepts such as venture philanthropy and impact investment are receiving increasing interest. There are also a larger number of players in the ecosystem, including academia, network organizations, incubators, foundations, intermediaries, and non-profit organizations, which are contributing to building up its capacity and improving its efficiency.   AVPN is organizing a 7-day immersion program for foundation leaders, social investors, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) professionals to meet with leading Chinese organizations and experience first-hand its social innovations and experience building a more equitable and sustainable society.   Participant profile AVPN invites representatives from private or family foundations, corporate foundations and CSR professionals who are interested in learning the latest social innovation in China, sharing practices and ideas on social investing and strategic philanthropy, and exploring partnership opportunities to join this program.   For more information and registration, please go to China Innovation Study Tour at
