Documentary Australia Foundation is excited to announce the launch of DOCSOCIAL - a social impact documentary series that aims to:

  • highlight social impact documentary
  • bring people who care (filmmakers, philanthropists, not-for-profits and the community) together so that they can mobilise behind an issue
  • encourage action by engaging not-for-profit partners and providing an Impact Guide that provides context and quality resources.

This inspiring screening program echoes contemporary concerns such as the environment, human rights, women’s empowerment, mental health and indigenous affairs.

One film will be screened each month, 1pm and 6:30pm, at Event Cinemas in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth and also at the Jam Factory, Melbourne.

The Sydney and Melbourne evening events will include a panel discussion, Q&A and post-event drinks.

  • Rebecca Barry (the Director/Producer)
  • Mitzi Goldman (CEO of Documentary Australia Foundation)
  • Plan International Australia (the film’s not-for-profit partner)
