Pakistan Floods (2010)
Flash flooding across Pakistan in August has killed thousands of people and destroyed well over 700,000 homes. There is an urgent need for clean water, food, shelter, and medical care among those affected. Needs in the longer term for a vast number of people - estimates range from six million to fourteen million - will include assistance rebuilding homes, restarting businesses, and replacing lost livestock and crops.

Haiti Earthquake (2010)
Already the poorest nation in the Americas, Haiti was hit by a series of disasters, including a 7.0 magnitude earthquake, in early 2010. It was also battered by hurricanes in 2008, causing a series of major events rocking the small island nation.
