PPF Guidelines released (25/06/09)

Philanthropy Australia welcomes the release of new draft guidelines for Private Ancillary Funds, formerly known as Prescribed Private Funds (PPFs). It is pleasing that Treasury has adopted the recommendation of Philanthropy Australia, its members and the wider philanthropic sector to set a minimum distribution rate of 5%.

The Council of Philanthropy Australia is very pleased to announce the appointment of two new Members of the Council: Mr Tim Fairfax and Mr Paul Clitheroe.

PhilanthropyWiki Launch (27/12/07)

The PhilanthropyWiki is an online encyclopaedia and archive of knowledge on philanthropy in Australia. It is run by Philanthropy Australia with the support of the Macquarie Group Foundation, and was officially launched by Julie White (Macquarie Group Foundation Head) in both Sydney and Melbourne in late December.

Benefits and Challenges of Employee Volunteering (24/08/06)

More businesses and not-for-profit organisations are becoming N partners by establishing employee volunteering programs but what are the real benefits each receives and what are the challenges?
