Established in 1997, Australian Communities Foundation (ACF) is the largest independent community foundation in Australia granting over $8 million annually to a variety of charitable causes across the country. Our sole focus is to create an active community of engaged philanthropists so that the process of giving is made easy. Our mission is to develop and distribute philanthropic resources in response to real and significant social issues and community needs. We offer flexible and cost-effective access to philanthropy so that we can maximize the impact of giving within communities that need it the most.
Due to an exciting period of growth, we are looking for a Grants Support Officer to join our Philanthropy & Impact team. Working with ACF’s community of donors, the purpose of this position is to provide the following services:
(a) Grants administration/data entry
(b) Donor care/fund administration (customer service)
(c) General team support
This is a role for an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to work in grant making, community development or philanthropy. The successful candidate will come with excellent administration skills, strong written and verbal communication skills as well as a high attention to detail and be able to work autonomously within a small team. They will need to build and maintain productive working relationships, including the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, undertake a diverse range of tasks to deadlines, and use initiative and sound judgement when making decisions.
