Australian Communities Foundation (ACF) is an independent, public, charitable foundation whose mission is to generate & distribute philanthropic resources. ACF works with donors to address social issues and pursue positive changes that help build healthy and resilient communities. ACF was established in 1997 and currently has over 270 sub-funds and $73 million under management.
ACF coordinates over 500 grants to the community each year to the value of $6-8 million through a donor advised grantmaking program. ACF has recently launched a new discretionary fund, the Impact Fund, which gives ACF the opportunity to focus on high impact philanthropy and further enable ACF’s leadership alongside its wider community of donors and other collaborators in the philanthropic sector.
ACF is in an exciting phase of growth and is seeking an experienced and committed individual to join the senior leadership team of this unique and innovative Foundation. The successful incumbent will have a strong track record as a senior leader in the financial services sector, strong people management skills, expertise in change management and business development experience, and is committed to working in a value driven organisation. Working closely with the CEO and the Senior Management Team, this role is responsible for the overall financial management of the organisation whilst maximising investment and development opportunities. The CFO will ensure the appropriate financial management of all funds and segregation of funds and various sub-funds, as well as compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
