John Dyson

A Graduate in Science with a Graduate Diploma in Finance and Investment and an MBA, John’s earlier career was spent in investment banking and stockbroking with companies such as Schroders, Nomura Securities, KPMG and ANZ McCaughan.

In 1995 he became General Manager Australia for JAFCO Investment, he subsequently helped found Starfish Ventures, a venture capital company where he is personally overseeing around 20 investments in a range of technologies and industries.

He is also a co-trustee of the Dyson Bequest, a $15 million charitable foundation that provides grants to a range of social welfare, education and environmental causes, including the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute.
