Charities in Australia under threat?

Former Commonwealth bureaucrat Peter Shergold has alarmed some in the non-profit sector with a report he compiled for the Victorian government.

They wonder if the dogma of big business could become the ethos of charities. And, what will become of the volunteer? Will there be a place for wise amateur, or will we all need an MBA?

The Australian Government has announced a review of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) legislation.
