Philanthropists bequeath a generous spirit

Warren Buffett famously pledged to donate more than 99 per cent of his wealth. Former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg said that “the best financial planning ends with bouncing the cheque to the undertaker”. But one of Australia’s great philanthropists and a third generation member of the Myer family dynasty, Rupert Myer, is not so sure.
