Kay is an experienced leader with a true passion for philanthropy and creating strategic and sustainable community change. She has seen firsthand the difference one can make and is committed to encouraging others and future generations to do the same. Her career spans from the United States to Australia and includes over 15 years of executive experience across government affairs, higher education, and the not-for-profit sector.
Kay moved to Adelaide, Australia in 2009 and joined the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute, where she established the institute’s inaugural communications and fundraising strategies. After serving on a non-profit board and consulting to local charities, Kay co-founded the Burton Foundation, reinforcing her passion to philanthropy and making a difference in Australia and beyond.
She resides in the Adelaide Hills with her husband Julian and their five children.
