Indigenous Philanthropy Award

The Indigenous Philanthropy Award is for current achievements from funding initiatives that support, strengthen and sustain Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, community and culture. This Award is for funding initiatives that demonstrate direct support of Indigenous-led or controlled and operated organisations.


SELECTION CRITERIA 

Nominations will be assessed on the below criteria:  

  1. Direct support of Indigenous-led or controlled and operated organisations to fund activities, programs and collaboration which support and empower communities, and which have demonstrated results and impact 
  2. The funder has adapted the way it works to adopt and promote practices which support, strengthen and sustain Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, community and culture 
  3. Fosters and facilitates reconciliation between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples 
  4. Specify the three things that make this a knockout nomination.

This Award is for activity occurring in the last five years (2015-2019) – this may include design, funding, outcomes and/or impact.

AWARD ELIGIBILITY 

The Australian Philanthropy Awards are open to all members of the Australian philanthropic and broader social change community. This award recognises both the ‘funding’ organisation and the ‘doing’ organisation. You can nominate your own organisation.

The Indigenous Philanthropy Award is presented in partnership with Ninti One.
