Invitation for donors to attend showcase of social change filmmaking

Melbourne Community Foundation and Documentary Australia Foundation are inviting grantmakers to an event at which they will be showcasing several examples of powerful social change film-making. Excerpts from three outstanding film projects at various levels of development or production will be presented, as well as a screening of a short completed film on waste and recycling, called Waste Not, which the Documentary Australia Foundation is wanting to build an outreach campaign around. Following will be a discussion about the role of documentary as tools for raising awareness and inspiring action.

A number of Melbourne Community Foundation donors have supported the production of, and education campaigns associated with, several films on environmental, human rights and social issues, through the Documentary Australia Foundation.

The event is on Monday, 16th May at 5.30pm at ACMI Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Federation Square, Melbourne.
