Lani Evans

Manager, Vodafone New Zealand Foundation (New Zealand)

Lani is currently the Manager of the Vodafone New Zealand Foundation and has undertaken many roles within the community sector, including running a regional volunteer centre, establishing a national youth organization and working as the CEO of Thankyou Payroll, a successful New Zealand based social enterprise.

At present, Lani is Co-Chair and founder of Thankyou Charitable Trust, trustee for Philanthropy New Zealand, Vice Chair of ActionStation, Co-chair of the West Harbour Beautification Trust and co-founder of Christchurch-based youth transitional housing project Room:Maker. Lani received the Winston Churchill Fellowship for 2015 to explore the efficacy of devolved decision making models in international philanthropy.

In her spare time, Lani enjoys running around in the mountains, playing with her puppy and is currently training for her first ultra-marathon.

Lani is passionate about generosity in all its forms, about the potential of participatory philanthropy and about improving outcomes for our young people through practical  programme development and through systemic change.
