He has also been an academic, an entrepreneur, a strategy adviser, a bestselling author and a philanthropist. The Australian National University’s College of Business and Economics inducted Arun into its Hall of Fame in 2013 for meeting its criteria of “Exemplary professional achievement and distinguished contribution to community”. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade recently honoured Arun in a photo exhibition at Parliament House, featuring 12 Australians of Sri Lankan origin to have made a significant contribution to Australia.
