Georgina Byron

The Snow Foundation

Georgina has led The Snow Foundation for 16 years, broadening its place-based work in Canberra to now cover four pillars including our Place, our Country, our Sector and our Family. Our Place focuses on it’s local roots of Canberra, plus Key Regions Sydney and the South Coast. Our Country supports social entrepreneurs and progresses key social justice issues which require collaborations across many partners and long-term change. An example close to heart is the campaign to end preventable diseases, rheumatic heart disease and scabies, in Indigenous communities through community-led action, local advocacy and education.

Georgina has championed bold large-scale National initiatives as well as brought innovative programs to the ACT. Her passions lie in enabling women to be financially independent, LGBTIQ rights and reconciliation for First Nations people. Her current board roles include Good360 Australia, Sydney Community Foundation, St Catherine’s Foundation and she chairs the Sydney Women’s Fund Advisory Council.
