Bush Heritage Australia, an independent, leading conservation not-for-profit, is looking for a talented Philanthropy Executive- Victoria and Tasmania to join the Major Gifts & International Programs team.

ABOUT US

For over 30 years we’ve supported and protected some of the most fragile ecosystems across the continent and seen the impact of our science-based approach. We keep our eyes on the horizon and focus firmly on long-term, landscape scale impact.

As a national, not-for-profit, we want to continue to expand the areas we protect and deepen the impact we have. We work in partnership with Traditional Owners, listening to and learning from the customs and cultures that came before us.

Together we can heal and protect the bush, now and into the future.

Our continent is home to striking landscapes, magnificent native species and irreplaceable biodiversity. Our life, and our future, depends on these interconnected ecosystems.

We work across more than 11 million hectares to nurture and protect those ecosystems and we have ambitions to deepen and double our impact by 2030. This is your chance to be part of that journey.

This is your chance to work with the brightest minds, the most passionate conservationists and incredibly generous supporters who share our values.

This is your chance to have an impact.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll join a talented and fun team of major giving experts, who work across all regions to partner with incredible individuals and organisations who generously support our work.

You’ll be the main contact for our Victorian and Tasmanian supporters, ensuring they feel connected and engaged in opportunities – and that means connecting with them in person, locally or by taking them to some of our unique reserves, sharing with them our work and upcoming opportunities to support it.

You’ll be expected to manage the relationships from end-to-end, from identifying new supporters and taking them on the supporter journey, to trip planning and receipting. You’ll be supported by your team and will take on a well-established portfolio of long-term supporters.

You will enjoy a two-month transition period with the current PE, who is going on maternity leave.

ABOUT YOU

You’re a curious, open-minded nature-lover who enjoys connecting with others. You have great organisational skills, are good at problem solving, like to work towards a target and you love being part of a team.

You’re based in Victoria and able to travel to Tasmania at least a couple of times over the year as well as undertake at least a handful of reserve visits in Victoria.

You might have a science background, have worked in the field or maybe you’ve been in sales – we recognise that what makes a fantastic Philanthropic Executive isn’t necessarily many years’ experience in a similar role, but rather the ability to connect with like-minded people and turn those connections into commitments to support.
