Alicia Curtis is the driving force behind 100 Women, being inspired by the book ‘Half the Sky’ written by Pulitzer Prize-winning team, Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn. 100 Women is now guided by a strong Advisory Committee.
“Sometimes you can feel a bit helpless with all the problems of the world. How can I make a difference? I wanted to bring together women who wanted to start building a positive legacy in the world. I’m lucky, I have access to education, health services and employment. I am free from violence. Unfortunately, not all girls and women have these opportunities. How do we connect those who have with those who haven’t and bridge the gap? That’s when 100 Women was born.” Alicia Curtis, Founder and Chair
To ignite women’s philanthropy through the power of collective giving to advance the empowerment of all women.
100 Women enables everyday people to be involved in creating a world where all women and girls can live safely with access to health, education and economic freedom. We do this by combining donations and knowledge to provide impactful grants.
100 Women is calling on all the courageous and determined women to join the movement and be the positive change they want to see in the world.
