About the organisation:
The Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM) is a small organisation with a very big vision. We see a world where we have Complete health and wellbeing for Australians and New Zealanders, which includes but is not limited to the absence of chronic disease.
We are a health promotion charity working towards improved prevention, management, and treatment of chronic, complex, and lifestyle-related conditions. ‘Lifestyle-related’ includes environmental, societal, behavioural and other factors.
At ASLM we support an interdisciplinary approach to health and healthcare; shifting away from siloed practice to create a genuinely collaborative means through which complex problems can be solved. We advocate for health and wellbeing, which includes the absence of disease, but also health equity, social justice, corporate responsibility, and environmental sustainability.
ASLM is a charity and membership body with DGR1 charitable status. Now in our seventh year, we are about to embark on a significant growth journey to recapture and expand our influence on the Australian and New Zealand Health Systems. This includes:
Delivering a talented, experienced and professional Lifestyle Medicine Workforce; Disrupting the current models of care through piloting and promoting innovative, collaborative and interdisciplinary care; and Driving the policy and systems change required to better support the health of all Australians and New Zealanders.
How to apply:
