The BHP Foundation works to address some of the world’s most critical sustainable development challenges. By working in partnership with others who share these ambitions we seek to raise the bar, find new solutions and set new standards for the future. These efforts are designed to enhance the contribution the global resources sector can make to the achievement of many of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Today, we work with 32 partner organisations implementing 30 projects across 44 countries, piloting new approaches and generating evidence of what works in addressing complex development challenges.
We are currently recruiting for two pivotal roles that will form a key part of our Leadership Team; Evaluation and Impact Director, and Chief Investment Officer
About the role
The CIO is responsible for leading and enabling a high performance globally dispersed team to work with our partners and others to maximise the outcomes and impact of our Project and Program investments. With extensive experience managing a portfolio of large, complex development projects, the CIO will ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of systems and processes to maximise the collective impact of Foundation Programs, and will bring experience in risk management, governance and the monitoring and evaluation of programs to enhance outcomes and inform decision-making.
Both roles will work directly with the Chief Executive, our Board and Management team to maximise our impact and ensure we can achieve our ambition: to make a positive difference today and to future generations by delivering scalable solutions to some of the world’s most critical sustainable development challenges.
