About the Position

Reporting to the Executive Director and the Kennards Hire Foundation Board, this role will be responsible for fulfilling the vision. The foundation is committed to contributing to “a better world for future generations” and you will oversee the Kennards Hire Foundation philanthropic activities that fulfill this philosophy.

This role is strategic and operationally focused and requires someone who has a solid background in grant giving and program management, stakeholder engagement, organizational management, and research.

What happens in the Foundation Office

The Foundation is in an intimate office environment in Artarmon alongside The Kennards Family Office and Keneco Property Team. Responsibilities

  • Program Management and Grant Making - you will support the family in formulating the upcoming 5-year strategic plan. You will then conduct due diligence, analyze funding opportunities, and present back to the Board
  • Stakeholder engagement and management - your role is going to be a master at managing multiple stakeholders internally and externally of the organization. As the key representative of the Kennards Hire Foundation you must be adept at presenting, networking, and influencing at a range of levels to ensure information is reported and communicated effectively, our charities are engaged, and the Kennards Hire Business and family are actively involved in philanthropic ventures.
  • Organisational Management - Governance and compliance of the foundation is in your hands! We have systems in place but need someone who will add to this and ensure that we are best in class when it comes to the seamless giving through the foundation.

What experience will you bring to this role

  • At least 8 years’ experience in the philanthropic and/or not-for-profit sector office administration.
  • Experience in grant making and program management - with exposure to youth and/or the environment would be desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in methodically evaluating charities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a Business/Commerce/Law/Sustainability or other relevant discipline.
  • Honed research, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite Advanced
