Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, operating on a scale that makes it crucial to the work of the front-line charities who are feeding vulnerable Australians. Foodbank SA sources food from wholesalers, manufacturers, supermarkets and growers, saving more than 2.5 million kilograms of food from landfill each year. In the last 12 months, Foodbank SA have sourced enough food to put more than 6.77 million meals on the table of those doing it tough, feeding 135,000 struggling South Australians every month.
About the role
A rare opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Fundraising Coordinator to join Foodbank SA. Reporting to the Marketing & Fundraising Manager, the Fundraising Coordinator will play an integral role in driving Foodbank SA’s fundraising appeals, projects, and events. In addition, this role will be responsible for content development, grant writing, and administrative customer service support.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the not-for-profit sector, with proven track record in fundraising and/or grant writing. You will be a detail-orientated individual, with exceptional customer service, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. An empathic and purpose-driven nature will be essential to ensure a cultural fit with the Foodbank SA team, along with high emotional intelligence, and personal values aligned with the organisation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce (or other database systems) is desirable but not essential.
