Nominations are now open for the Australian Philanthropy Awards 2020 as we celebrate bold and better philanthropy in the year that needs it most.
Find out more about this year's awards from Philanthropy Australia's CEO Sarah Davies.
The nomination period closes at 5 pm on Friday 28 August, with nominations open to all members of the philanthropic and broader social change community.
These Awards recognise and celebrate extraordinary achievements in contemporary philanthropy for work that is visionary, high impact and transformative. They also celebrate partnerships between philanthropy and for-purpose organisations and honour those who are working to create lasting, positive change.
This year, we've taken some time to review the award categories and we're pleased to introduce three new feature awards including the Better Philanthropy Award, Bolder Philanthropy Award and the Best Grant Program Award.
The new awards will be presented alongside the 2020 Leading Philanthropist Award plus five other specialised award categories representing environmental, Indigenous, community, gender-wise and international philanthropy.
The relationship between philanthropy and community is more vital than ever, and we believe it’s important to recognise and celebrate best practice philanthropy to help provide a sense of hope and encouragement in these challenging times.
The Awards will be presented in a digital ceremony on Tuesday 17 November.
