In the 2007/2008 financial crisis, Australian philanthropy pulled back, citing lack of funds.

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, the sector resolved not to walk away, and has been trialling new ways of helping organisations and specific communities get through the crisis.

Our CEO Sarah Davies joined John Daley, chief executive of the Grattan Institute and Susan Bannigan, CEO of the Westpac Foundation on ABC Radio Extra to discuss.
