New appointments across the sector - July 2022

Sarah Killey has joined Solstice Media as philanthropy director for InReview, the not-for-profit arts and culture journalism project, after working as philanthropy manager at the Adelaide Festival for the past six years.

Killey’s new role will see her building donations and support for InReview, which was founded at the beginning of 2021 to help fill a growing void in local arts writing and reviewing.


Save the Children Australia has announced Mat Tinkler is its new chief executive officer.

Mr Tinkler succeeds Paul Ronalds, who led the organisation for more than nine years. Mr Ronalds resigned to lead the establishment of Save the Children Global Ventures.

Mr Tinkler has been acting CEO of Save the Children Australia for the past six months while Mr Ronalds was developing a business case for the new global entity that will amplify Save the Children’s impact through innovative financing and taking new technologies to scale.


The former CEO of the Paul Ramsay Foundation, Professor Glyn Davis AC, has been appointed the new Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Professor Davis has had a long and distinguished career in both academia and public service, having served as Director-General of the Queensland Department of Premier and Cabinet from 1998 until 2002, before moving to Vice-Chancellor roles at both Griffith University and the University of Melbourne. He holds emeritus roles at universities around the world, and has served as Chair of the Group of Eight, Chair of Universities Australia and Chair of Universitas 21. In 2010, Professor Davis delivered the Boyer Lectures on the theme The Republic of Learning.
