Asitha Bandaranayaka Engagement Lead (VIC/TAS)

Asitha joined Philanthropy Australia in February 2025, bringing a diverse background spanning wealth management, youth empowerment and international development. Prior to this, Asitha worked at the Centre for Public Impact (CPI), where he partnered with community to reimagine government through learning, research, and collaboration. With a deep commitment to building meaningful relationships and creating lasting impact, Asitha is excited to contribute to Philanthropy Australia’s mission as part of the Engagement team.

Passionate about supporting underserved communities, Asitha co-founded the youth-led non-profit Victorian Sri Lankan Youth Association (VSLYA Inc.), which focuses on community engagement and transferable skill development for youth in Melbourne’s West. Additionally, Asitha serves on the board of Possible Dreams International, an NGO that partners with rural and remote communities in the Kingdom of Eswatini to tackle extreme poverty, malnutrition, and endemic disease, empowering families and individuals to create lasting change.
