The Partnerships team 

The Partnerships team is responsible for all elements of philanthropic fundraising at SVA and the management of select strategic partnerships. Specifically, the team works to raise income for programs and initiatives across SVA, as well as discretionary income for programs and initiatives across SVA, as well as discretionary income to support the work of SVA.

The team has a presence in Sydney and Melbourne, and works in close collaboration with the Programs team, Marketing and Communications team and other staff across SVA.

The position
As the Partnerships & Events Officer, you will use your robust administration and interpersonal skills to enhance team effectiveness and ensure all operations run smoothly.

You will support the team with key activities including organising in-person and online events, coordinating donor administration activities, and providing key information and tailored support to the Director and the wider team for major or complex project, scheduling and administrative items.

You will assist with the development of collateral e.g., presentations and proposals to showcase and promote SVA’s work to current and prospective funders and other stakeholders as well as use data derived from SVA’s CRM, Salesforce, to help the team and the wider organisation understand where we should focus our efforts to maximise our ability to create social impact.

Who you are

You will bring proven experience supporting teams (ideally in a fundraising environment), including members of senior management, with complex administrative duties, with demonstrable success in prioritising tasks where there are multiple and conflicting demands.

You will have prior exposure to coordination of events, preferably both in-person and online, understanding the end-to-end process for delivering the best client experience.

You will bring applied knowledge of Salesforce and Campaign Monitor, or other database, event management or email campaign software, with a developing ability to extract, analyse and interpret information to build an understanding of your client-base and support your team in understanding the most effective ways to reach your desired audience.

You will have demonstrated experience using the MS Office suite, with prior exposure to Canva an advantage.

Your sound stakeholder relationship management skills will contribute towards building and stewarding strong relationships across SVA’s entire supporter base. Overall, you will be known for your responsive, proactive, positive, ‘can do’ attitude and your hands-on approach!
