Philanthropic Engagement Coordinator

Join Midsumma, Australia’s premier LGBTQIA+ cultural organisation, and play a vital role in shaping the future of queer arts and culture. As our Philanthropic Engagement Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of building meaningful relationships with trusts, foundations and individual donors whose support powers artists, communities, and safer spaces.

In this role, you’ll bring together your skills in relationship management and proposal writing to identify new opportunities, craft compelling funding applications, and steward long-term partnerships. You’ll also manage donor records and reporting, ensuring every connection feels valued and every commitment is delivered with precision. Working alongside our Marketing and Communications team, you’ll align philanthropic strategies with Midsumma’s broader storytelling, amplifying the impact of every contribution.

We’re looking for someone who has experience in philanthropic fundraising—ideally in the arts or community sector—combined with excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail. You’ll be confident navigating CRM systems and comfortable preparing polished proposals and reports. Just as importantly, you’ll share our commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusion and be ready to roll up your sleeves during the busy festival period, which may include evening and weekend events.

It would be a bonus if you also bring knowledge of the Australian not-for-profit and philanthropic landscape, experience with community engagement or events, and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
