Next-gen donors say environment is their top priority, AEGN report finds

More than 80% of next-generation donors identified the environment as their top funding priority and said this is likely to jump to more than 90% in the next 10 years, according to a report released by the Australian Environmental Grantmakers Network. The findings suggest a shift in the giving landscape as the intergenerational wealth transfer plays out.

Funders back Victorian Treaty legislation in open letter to government

A group of 33 funders have signed an open letter in support of Victoria’s Treaty legislation. The letter urges the state parliament to act without delay to enshrine this historic reform agenda. The statement highlights that philanthropy has long supported First Nations initiatives.

National day of LGBTQIA+ giving returns to invite donors to 'fall for a cause' 

GiveOUT Day 2025 aims to mobilise $550,000 for 120 rainbow non-profits nationwide. This year’s ‘Love Edition’ campaign invites donors to ‘fall for a cause’, with matched funding available to double the love. On Thursday, 16 October, people everywhere are invited to donate to, champion and celebrate LGBTQIA+ non-profits working to build inclusion, wellbeing and equity across all states and territories.
