LMCF unveils new name: Greater Melbourne Foundation

Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation this week revealed its new operating name – Greater Melbourne Foundation. The change reflects the Foundation’s recently launched strategic focus on social justice and equity, and its renewed commitment to tackling some of Greater Melbourne’s most pressing challenges. AusArt Day: Australia’s first ever national giving day to arts and culture 

Creative Australia’s inaugural national giving day for arts and culture is inviting people to support musicians, artists and cultural organisations in their local communities. AusArt Day, taking place on 23 October, will see more than 300 artists and arts organisations from across the nation rallying support for creativity.

SXSW Sydney, the local incarnation of the globally renowned festival and conference focused on music, film and tech innovation, has brought ‘purpose’ into the fold. At this week’s festival, a new Impact Stage, presented by giving platform Charitabl., spotlighted bold voices and changemakers who explored what 'generosity in a connected, purpose-led world' means today.

Philanthropy Australia is partnering with Benefolk on a Beyond the Grant webinar series, showcasing integrated approaches to how funders and grantee partners can uplift capability and wellbeing. In this article, Benefolk Founder and CEO Julia Keady unpacks one of these approaches: Organisational Effectiveness, which was developed in the US and is increasingly supporting charities and social enterprises in Australia.
