Australia’s biggest philanthropy conference returns in 2026, and it will be bolder than ever! We are thrilled to announce the theme for the 2026 Philanthropy Australia Conference: Mobilising Generosity, Shaping the Future.  

Philanthropy Australia's 50th anniversary celebrations go off with a bang!

From Terracotta Warriors to hungry giant pandas and joyful artworks, Philanthropy Australia’s 50th celebrations have now all gone off in great style – what a memorable way to kick off our year of commemoration and end 2025! Over 800 guests joined us at stunning venues across the country to share stories and memories of five decades of giving, knowledge sharing and collective achievement.  

50 years of PA: Founder video, history timeline and archive journals digitalised

To celebrate and illuminate five decades of collective achievements, Philanthropy Australia has produced and curated a series of storytelling projects of shared history. Dive in to see a video from our 104-year-old founder, a timeline of milestones, an image slideshow and digital versions of our very first Philanthropy journals.

COP31 outcome: What it means and why the support of philanthropy is vital

After dramatic final negotiations at COP30 in Belém, Türkiye will host COP31. Global negotiations will be led by Australia’s Climate and Energy Minister Chris Bowen, and a major Pre-COP meeting will be held in the Pacific. While it’s not the outcome our sector had hoped for, there’s still a powerful opportunity for Australia and the Pacific to shape the global climate agenda.  

Building bridges with Asia Pacific philanthropy through philanthropy

As the giving landscape in Asia-Pacific develops and Singapore becomes one of the world’s fastest-growing destinations for family offices, there is a compelling opportunity for Australian funders to engage more deeply with their regional counterparts. The AVPN Global Conference earlier in the year highlighted why it matters, and how collaboration can unlock greater impact for Australian funders in 2026 and beyond.
