Michael Graf Board member

Michael has more than 25 years’ experience in the information technology industry, most of it as part of IBM Australia where he held various leadership and management positions across the Information Technology Services, IBM Software and Hardware divisions. Today he is an advisor and board director for a number of startup enterprises and not-for-profits, bringing together his experiences across philanthropy, fundraising, governance and technology.

Michael is Chair of AbilityMade, a social startup that brings 3D scanning and digital fabrication together to give children with disabilities access to the orthoses they need to live their best life. He is also Chair of mPort, which provides solutions for employee wellbeing in conjunction with an innovative 3-D body scanning technology.

Michael is the Chair of Good2Give Australia and ShareGift Australia and co-Chair of the merged entity of Good2Give and Workplace Giving Australia, which are not-for-profit organisations that make it easy for employees and donors to give through Workplace Giving, share and DRP giving.

He also sits on the board of Montefiore, a leading Sydney-based aged care provider that offers quality residential care, home care services and independent living. He is a member of the quality & risk committee and property development committee, and brings his technology expertise which is of growing importance in the delivery of aged care services.

Previously, Michael was on the Board of the JCA (NSW) for 8 years, including 3 years as Executive Chair of Marketing and 5 years as Vice President and Fundraising Chair, which provided him with fundraising and event experience.

He is also Chair and co-founder of the Graf Family Foundation, a PAF that brings together the philanthropic giving of his and his sister’s families.

He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
