Who are St Pats?

St Patrick’s Community Support Centre (St Patrick’s) is committed to working in partnership with other agencies to support individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in obtaining stable accommodation, independence, and improved quality of life. We provide a range of services to support them on this journey, including emergency relief and meals, health and mental health services, drug and alcohol services, life skills training and a range of accommodation options.  

Position Overview

Reporting to the Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager, this role assists and supports the Philanthropy and Fundraising function across a wide range of administration and stewardship duties.   

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide administrative functions by creating and maintaining supporter records in the fundraising database
  • Assist with creating and managing fundraising appeals
  • Process payments and issue donation receipts
  • Assist with fundraising collateral development, compile collateral packs and distribute to potential supporters
  • Assist with supporter stewardship including creating and implementing stewardship plans and thank you letters 
  • Demonstrate confidence in answering fundraising enquiries over the telephone, email or in person
  • Assist with fundraising event planning and delivery

Essential Criteria

  1. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with service staff, service users, community agencies and other professionals.
  2. Excellent administration and data entry skills, including advanced skills in Office suite and working with CRMs.
  3. Relevant qualification/s (or currently completing) in fundraising, administration, marketing and communications, events or similar.
  4. Experience working in customer/client-facing role.

Desirable

  1. Experience in a similar role with a Not-For-Profit organisation

Skills, knowledge and attributes

  • Excellent skills with Microsoft office packages 
  • Demonstrated ability in database (CRM) administration.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Experience in, or familiarity with, fundraising and stewardship administration.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and ability to work independently when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
