Help shape a more inclusive Australia by joining The Achieve Foundation as a voluntary Non-Executive Board Director, providing strategic leadership and strengthening partnerships across philanthropy, business and investment.

Help create an Australia where people with disabilities can fully participate, contribute and belong.

The Achieve Foundation is seeking an accomplished Non-Executive Board Director to help guide its next stage of growth and impact.

Working alongside the Board Chair, fellow directors and the Executive Director, you will contribute to the Foundation’s strategic direction, governance and long-term sustainability while helping strengthen the partnerships and investment needed to advance systemic disability inclusion across Australia.


About The Achieve Foundation

The Foundation works alongside people with disability, philanthropists, government, business, researchers and community leaders to create practical solutions that improve:

  • Employment outcomes
  • Inclusive education
  • Community attitudes

To date, the Foundation has:

  • Mobilised $4.5 million for disability inclusion
  • Engaged 96 philanthropic and corporate organisations
  • Briefed 26 government departments
  • Built a network of major employers representing more than 33,000 employees


We’re looking for leaders with experience in:

  • Australian philanthropy and grantmaking
  • Family foundations, private wealth or family offices
  • Business, investment or finance
  • Professional services
  • Corporate foundations or social investment

Candidates should bring strategic judgement, governance capability, trusted relationships and a genuine commitment to disability inclusion.

Previous Board experience is valued, but alignment with the Foundation’s purpose and the ability to make a meaningful contribution are equally important.

Board Commitment

  • Four Board meetings each year (approximately 2.5 hours each)
  • Predominantly online
  • One in-person meeting annually
  • Occasional participation in donor engagement and events

Appointments commence December 2026.

This is a voluntary Board appointment, with reasonable authorised expenses reimbursed.
