Who we are

Since 2012, Fiji Book Drive has donated 240,000 books to 194 schools and kindergartens in Fiji. We believe that education empowers students & communities and one of the keys to a great education is having the right resources.

At Fiji Book Drive we have successfully re-purposed books, computers, and educational resources from the Australian community, sending them to Fijian schools who require a little more assistance.

About the opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Office Administrator to join Fiji Book Drive (FBD) and be a part of our amazing team.

We are looking for someone:
• Who has relevant experience in office administration and coordination, including finance reporting and Board documentation;
• Results focussed with the ability to manage a broad workload, with a focus on delivering key day-to-day tasks while meeting deadlines;
• A self-starter who is driven and self-motivated;
• Can work both independently and within a team environment;
• Possesses an enthusiastic, willing to learn attitude;
• Honest and reliable;
• Excellent literacy, numeracy, and computer skills, including in MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Mailchimp. Experience in Raisley will be highly regarded;
• Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials, such as e-newsletters and promotional materials;
• Manage all social media platforms and assist with minor website updates;
• Can provide support in all aspects to the CEO;
• Friendly nature and a team player; and
• Preferably has a minimum of two years of administrative experience.

A typical day

You will be the first point of contact with stakeholders and the community. Because of this it is essential that you are pleasant, courteous, highly professional, and able to interact with a wide and diverse consumer group.

FBD are looking for a true support to the CEO and someone who will assist with expansion of the organisation, including applying for Government grants and liaison with private donors.
