Update: Philanthropy Australia Annual General Meeting

The 2024 Philanthropy Australia AGM was held on Wednesday 22 May. At the meeting, the following members were appointed to the Board and commenced their terms as Directors at the conclusion of the meeting:

  • Georgina Byron AM (elected)
  • Brian Wyborn (elected)
  • Tyson Feng (elected)
  • Joanne Taylor (elected)
  • Lisa George (reappointed)
  • Stacey Thomas (reappointed)

The Board Co-Chairs, Amanda Miller OAM and Lisa George acknowledged and thanked those Directors who stepped down from the Board during 2023: Anthony Cavanagh and Ling Ang.

The Co-Chairs also took the opportunity to thank and pay tribute to outgoing Board member Tabitha Lovett, who stepped down from the Board at the conclusion of the 2024 AGM. Lisa George said:

“Tabitha Lovett has been a Director of Philanthropy Australia since 2019 and served as a member of the Governance & Nominations Committee and Policy & Research Committee. Tabitha has made a significant contribution to the Board over the past five years, bringing her philanthropic and business expertise. Tabitha has kindly agreed to remain as a non-Board member of the Policy & Research Committee.”
