Anna Longley, ACNC’s Assistant Commissioner – General Counsel.

Anna acts as the senior legal advisor to the ACNC Commissioner and the Advisory Board and has legal oversight of the ACNC’s work regulating charities.
Having worked at the Australian Taxation Office for over 16 years prior to becoming General Counsel, Anna has an extensive background in public administration. Most recently, she was an Assistant Commissioner in Private Wealth, leading assurance and review work on high-wealth individuals, private groups and not-for-profit entities. Anna also sat on the ATO’s General Anti-Avoidance Rules Panel, and for two years oversaw Fringe Benefits Tax for the ATO.

KordaMentha is a boutique investment and advisory firm with offices in Australia, New Zealand and throughout Asia. Sophie Gibbons, Executive Director, KordaMentha Corporate.

Sophie works closely with organisations to help them realise their strategy, execute on their ambitions, and deliver measurable performance improvement.

She brings over twelve years of experience working with government, corporate and healthcare organisations on their most ambitious and complex transformation agendas, supporting to implement performance turnarounds, mergers and integrations and organisation restructures.

James Wagg, Executive Director, KordaMentha Corporate

James works closely with organisations to navigate them through their most vulnerable times.

James started his career ten years ago in the restructuring and insolvency arm of KordaMentha. More recently he has built on this experience and skillset by advising clients in an earlier stage of the distress cycle, leading clients through the process and the options available to them.

Sarah Wickham, Philanthropy Australia, Policy and Research Director

Sarah has more than 10 years’ experience in philanthropy, public policy development and fundraising. As Policy and Research Director, Sarah is responsible for policy development, advocacy activities, government relations and thought leadership for the Australian philanthropy sector.

Previously Sarah has worked as a Philanthropy Manager at Equity Trustees, where she was responsible for advising philanthropy and non-profit clients on making meaningful, effective and long-lasting impact. She has also served as a policy advisor to several federal members of parliament and a Victorian state government department.
