2022 Queensland Community Foundation Philanthropy Awards

June 03rd, 2022

Queensland Philanthropy Week starts on Monday with a launch event at the State Parliament and culminates with the Queensland Community Foundation’s annual Philanthropy Awards next Friday.

Monday’s event, hosted by the Speaker of the Parliament, Curtis Pitt, will recognise nominees for the QCF philanthropy awards and announce the winner of the Photo Challenge – the image that captures an act of compassion, kindness, doing good or highlights a specific cause or issue affecting Queenslanders.

On Wednesday, there is a breakfast hosted by Perpetual and Philanthropy Australia, featuring a panel of well-known sector figures, including the 2021 Leading Philanthropist Tim Fairfax AC.

The awards, now in their twelfth year, include two new categories in 2022 – for environment, sponsored by Goodman Private Wealth and for the philanthropic foundation of the year, sponsored by the Public Trustee.

The awards will be announced at a gala lunch at the Brisbane City Hall on Friday.
