Melbourne based Family Foundations are invited to join our first face-to-face Family Foundations Peer Network event for 2024.

This session will cover how Family Foundations can influence systemic change through their philanthropy. Join us to gain insights into strategies and examples from our guest speakers and explore the various ways Family Foundations can drive long term impact and change for good.

This event is for PA Family Foundation funder members only (Impact, Engaged, Active and New Gen).

Speakers


Jess Perrin – Foundation Director, Eureka Benevolent Foundation 
 

Jess is the inaugural Foundation Director of the Eureka Benevolent Foundation. A seasoned partnerships and philanthropy executive, she has over 18 years experience delivering social impact programs globally. Most recently, as Head of Social Innovation and Digital Inclusion at Infoxchange, and prior to that as Head of Global Programs at the Thomson Reuters Foundation in London.

She has developed unique insights into the social impact sector through roles in the charity sector, the private sector and the United Nations. Her expertise focuses on using strategic oversight to steer programs, communications to amplify impact and shared-value partnerships to ensure everybody wins.

She is a graduate of the McKinsey Executive Leadership program, holds a Master in International Communications and Development and is the proud mum to two children in Melbourne.

Francie Doolan – CFO & Chief Impact Officer, Small Giants
Francie is the CFO and Chief Investment Officer at Small Giants. Francie is passionate about empowering people for positive impact and systems change. Francie is responsible for leading finance, investments, governance and operations for the Small Giants family office and the portfolio of Small Giants businesses. Francie is on the Board of Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA), Small Giants Academy and Impact Funds Management (Impact Investment Group subsidiary). Francie is also a member of Sentient Impact Group’s Investment Committee and a WWF Australia Governor. Francie has a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). Francie is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Company Directors course and AICD Boardroom Mastery course. Francie is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and APS College of Organisational Psychologists. Francie is a Provisional Psychologist currently completing a Master of Psychology (Organisational).

Nicole Engelman | Cooper Family Office, Head of Philanthropy – Cooper Investors and the MaiTri Foundation
Nicole has over 20 years’ experience in the philanthropic sector and has a deep understanding of impactful philanthropy and the importance of the good investment stewardship and management of philanthropic capital. Nicole brings her passion for philanthropy to the Cooper Family Office where she heads up the MaiTri Foundation (Private Ancillary Fund) and Cooper Investors’ Corporate Philanthropy Program. Nicole’s career has included providing expert advice to support private philanthropists and Trusts and Foundations to fund innovative initiatives that build capacity within the charitable sector and is an advocate and funder of the social enterprise sector. Nicole supports the MaiTri Foundation to allocate capital to much-needed services and supports, in particular to mental health charities which we know experience a significant increase in demand year on year.
