Sydney based Family Foundations are invited to join our upcoming Family Foundations Peer Network event. 

This session will cover how Family Foundations can influence systemic change through their philanthropy. Join us to gain insights into strategies and examples from our guest speakers and explore the various ways Family Foundations can drive long term impact and change for good. 

This event is for PA Family Foundation funder members only (Impact, Engaged, Active and New Gen).

Aim 

To provide an opportunity for our Sydney based Family Foundation funder members to connect and discuss the role philanthropy can play in influencing systems change.

Speakers 

 
Margot Beach – General Manager, Dusseldorp Forum   

Margot is General Manager of the Forum and has worked in the community services sector for the past 30 years. She has experience in senior and executive management positions within both government and NFP’s in early years education, child protection, disability services and aged care. Her commitment is to engage with compassion, mindfulness and respect.  

Sally Garis – Program Manager, Macdoch Foundation 
Sally is the Program Manager at Macdoch Foundation, where her work focuses on building and supporting the portfolio of the Foundation’s Australian investments across Food and Agriculture, Climate Solutions and Healthy Communities.  For much of her career, Sally’s work and passion has been directed at finding and scaling innovative solutions that create a culture of giving and strengthen Australian communities. Through her work across the for purpose sector,  Sally has developed a deep understanding of the levers required to support systems change and enable people, communities and landscapes to thrive.  Sally holds an MBA specialising in Social Impact through the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW). She was previously a member of Action Aid’s Arise Leadership Circle and sat on the Board of the Women’s Plans Foundation through the Board Observership Program.  

Belinda Morrissey | CEO, English Family Foundation 

Belinda Morrissey is passionate about how we collectively build forward just, sustainable and inclusive economies. She is the CEO of the English Family Foundation, one of the few Australian foundations with a sole focus on driving transformational change through the growth and development of social entrepreneurs and social businesses. With deep experience within the Australian social enterprise sector and an extensive leadership background in both corporate and not for profit organisations spanning three continents, Belinda works across sectors to develop systems-based solutions that will mobilize capital and the ecosystems needed to create long term social change both within Australia and globally. She is the Chair of Social Enterprise Australia, the national peak body for social enterprise in Australia, and is Co-Chair/Founder of the Social Enterprise Funders Network within Philanthropy Australia. In her personal capacity she is also Chair of ActionAid Australia.
