  • Understand the philanthropy landscape
  • Learn about approaches to giving in Australia – and policy changes from history to present
  • Consider structures and types of giving, from Community Foundations to Private Ancillary Funds (PAFs), Donor Advised Accounts (public ancillary funds), Testamentary Charitable trusts, workplace giving and bequests, through to giving circles
  • Share good practice giving in terms of due diligence, collaboration, pay-what-it-takes, reporting and monitoring
  • Consider impact through the Periodic Table of Philanthropy, an innovative approach that maps philanthropic elements with outcomes.
  • Receive resources

This session is designed for funders and those interested in philanthropy who are either just starting out or who are reflecting on the efficacy of their current impact and evaluation strategies.

About the presenters: Ben Clark, founder of Giving Connect and a trustee of the Phillips Foundation and a director at Living Ripples, completed a Churchill Fellowship on philanthropy and was the guest-host for Philanthropy Australia’s ‘giving connect’ podcast series. This session will be presented in collaboration with Philanthropy Australia staff.
