Queensland Funders Peer Network

Join the October Queensland Funders Peer Network meeting, the most talked-about breakout session from the recent Philanthropy Leadership Summit in Canberra will be revisited.
Lani Evans (Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit) is a serial social entrepreneur, with ventures focused on the intersection of technology, philanthropy and social change. She has co-founded Share Collective, Generous Ventures and Thankyou Payroll. Most recently, she launched Fundsorter, an AI-based tool making funding faster and easier for community.
At the Leadership Summit, Lani presented on “Power, purpose and the rise of AI: Why civil society, philanthropy and government must lead, not follow” and has generously agreed to share her key philanthropy-focussed insights from this session to our Queensland Funders Peer Network.
Key themes will include:
- What AI is and is not
- What the risks and opportunities are for AI in philanthropy including education, environment and youth
- How we can use AI strategically, and not just for productivity and efficiency
- Lani will be presenting virtually, and we will allow time for Q&A afterwards.
