Philanthropy Australia is delighted to invite you to a unique lunchtime event with WA’s philanthropic community. 

Along with plenty of time for networking and conversation over lunch, we will hear from Angela Vurens van Es (Lotterywest) and Ollie Hanson (Minderoo) who have both just come back from the Philanthropy Australia New Gen Study Tour of New York. Ange and Ollie will share details and insights of their incredible trip which included meeting with some of the worlds leading philanthropic organisations.

Presenters

Angela Vurens van Es – Director Grants Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships, Lotterywest

Angela is the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships at Lotterywest, Australia’s only Government owned and operated lottery where all the profits are returned to the community. Angela is responsible for proactive grant-making in the areas of ecosystem protection and species conservation, truth-telling and bridging the digital divide. She is also responsible for building partnerships with philanthropic and corporate funders to maximise impact. Angela’s background is in community development, shared value initiatives, and social impact measurement.

Ollie Hanson – Partnerships Advisor, Minderoo Foundation 

Ollie is a philanthropic professional with over 15 years’ experience in the Australian for-purpose sector. Prior to joining Minderoo Foundation’s Partnerships team in 2022, Ollie spent over a decade working at the University of Melbourne where he helped execute Australia’s largest ever Philanthropic campaign, raising over $1.16 billion and engaged over 100,000 alumni.
