Funder Central is a Funder Interest Area Program on the Member section of our website that gives our Members access to up-to-date, relevant information on a range of cause areas. The funder hub includes information on more than 50 different interest and funding areas.
Each area is moderated by a funder, who posts articles, statistics, white papers, research findings and other interesting information on the cause area. The pages are updated on a regular basis. The Moderators are always happy to receive suggestions and content from their peers – contact details are available on Funder Central.
A number of Members are hosting informal Brown Paper Bag lunches at their offices for other funders to hear about their work, granting strategies, challenges and/or case studies. The lunches provide an informal avenue for funders to hear about how other funders go about their work.Dates, hosts, registration details and other information is provided in the Member section of the website and Philanthropy Weekly in the lead up to the event.

Philanthropy Weekly is Philanthropy Australia’s enewsletter, providing access to up-to-the-minute news and views from our sector.
Sent every Tuesday to our Members and Associates, Philanthropy Weekly, brings you our media monitoring service, including daily, weekly and monthly publications as well as relevant online sites. The newsletter also features major donations, grant rounds, sector and PA initiatives, new appointments and opportunities, co-partnership call outs, awards, white papers & reports, policy & research updates, sector events and more.

As the peak body for philanthropy we work to service and educate members and the broader philanthropic sector, and raise the profile of philanthropy through advocacy and public policy debate.
We work with federal and state governments to encourage their understanding, support of, and engagement with, the philanthropic sector. We also work with government to encourage the creation of incentives for giving, and the removal of disincentives. Legislative changes that may affect our members and the sector are also monitored, and are communicated to Members via our policy alerts.
Our Members are given the opportunity to provide ministers and government departments with input to policy decisions via our funders groups. Members also recieve our Policy & Regulatory Alerts.
