Position Title: Administration Officer

Description: The Jack Brockhoff Foundation is one of Australia’s leading philanthropic Foundations having donated in excess of $75 million of grants to more than 2,000 charitable organizations over its 29 year history.  The Foundation was established in 1979 by the late Sir Jack Brockhoff.  Its purpose is to support organizations whose activities are designed to have a positive and enduring impact on the health and wellbeing of communities with a special focus on supporting programs which benefit disadvantaged children and young people.

Reporting to the Foundation’s Executive Officer, you will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation’s focused and efficient office and the administration of its bi-annual grants program.  The Foundation receives approximately 300 -350 grant applications annually, each of which is recorded into a customized database (GIFTS), researched and then assessed by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Therefore, the role offers you a unique opportunity to participate at all levels of the philanthropic activities of a large Foundation.   You will be an experienced, highly motivated and competent individual who has demonstrated the ability to prioritize and manage several tasks concurrently and work relatively autonomously with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.   Ethical, honest and confidential personal attributes are essential to this role.  You will have a high level of maturity and be a confident and adept communicator who comfortably engages with people at all levels.

DUTIES:

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  1. Familiarity with administration of trusts or Prescribed Private Funds.
  2. Experience in management of, or liaison with charitable organisations.
