Position Title: Administration Officer

Description: The Jack Brockhoff Foundation is one of Australia’s leading philanthropic Foundations having donated in excess of $75 million of grants to more than 2,000 charitable organizations over its 29 year history.  The Foundation was established in 1979 by the late Sir Jack Brockhoff.  Its purpose is to support organizations whose activities are designed to have a positive and enduring impact on the health and wellbeing of communities with a special focus on supporting programs which benefit disadvantaged children and young people.

Reporting to the Foundation’s Executive Officer, you will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation’s focused and efficient office and the administration of its bi-annual grants program.  The Foundation receives approximately 300 -350 grant applications annually, each of which is recorded into a customized database (GIFTS), researched and then assessed by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Therefore, the role offers you a unique opportunity to participate at all levels of the philanthropic activities of a large Foundation.   You will be an experienced, highly motivated and competent individual who has demonstrated the ability to prioritize and manage several tasks concurrently and work relatively autonomously with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.   Ethical, honest and confidential personal attributes are essential to this role.  You will have a high level of maturity and be a confident and adept communicator who comfortably engages with people at all levels.

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Reception – grant enquiries
• Data entry of Grant Applications
• Database management (GIFTS)
• Document storage and management of filing systems
• Managing correspondence received by the EO and Directors (MS Word)
• Assisting the EO in the preparation and distribution of quarterly Board papers
• Diary management (EO and Board of Directors) (Outlook)

Position Title: Business Engagement Manager

Description: The Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) is a dynamic, independent, not for profit organisation. Our work focuses on funding and supporting partnerships and initiatives that positively contribute to the development of young people, their education and communities.

The Business Engagement Manager will report to the Director of Development. They will be responsible for securing new partnerships with businesses and managing existing ones, which support FYA's education programs and grants activities.

We already have a significant number of businesses that support our programs by providing opportunities for young people to be introduced to the world of work. These relationships need to be strengthened and new ones developed.

To do this, the successful candidate will:

• Have accountability for achieving an income target
• Undertake research to identify potential new opportunities for engaging
• Prepare and deliver presentations seeking engagement and support
• Develop and maintain relationship profiles for each business
• Regularly evaluate these relationships and effectively maintain them
• Conduct regular stakeholder consultations and feed their input into the organisation
• Based on understanding the needs and interests of FYA and our business partners, leverage existing relationships in one area of the organisation into other areas.

Position Title: Foundation Administrator / Part Time

Description:A private individual based in Brisbane is looking for a proactive administrator to drive the development of a Prescribed Private Fund.

DUTIES:

• Build effective relationships with key staff of supported organisations.
• Maintain accurate and accountable records of correspondence and information.
• Develop and recommend policies and initiatives in consultation with Trustees
• Collect and provide accurate intelligence and research to facilitate the Foundations endeavors showing due diligence.
• Provide reports and analysis directly to the Trustees
  

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

1. Familiarity with administration of trusts or Prescribed Private Funds.
2. Experience in management of, or liaison with charitable organisations.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and databases.
4. Experience working with confidential material
5. Experience working successfully with senior executives or in a small office/family office enviroment.
