Philanthropist Peter Hunt says ‘successful people should share their luck’

November 08th, 2015

Investment banker and philanthropist Peter Hunt wants to adapt a financing model that he has used to establish women's shelters to help refugees.

Motivated by empathy to head into philanthropy, Mr Hunt pressed other corporate bigwigs to share their luck in life.

"People are successful because they are lucky and they should share that luck. Others are just as worthy but they have had dysfunctional parents or mental health issues or other problems that meant they did not get the same start in life," he said.
